Warlocks are one of the most unique classes in WoW with their unique and sometimes gruesome ways of dealing with enemies. In this WoW Warlock guide I’ll introduce some of their defining attributes and weaknesses.

Warlocks get their abilities from dark fel magic like Shadow or Fire magic. They use this power to destroy enemies, sometimes in extremely brutal ways. These powers don’t kill enemies quickly but instead prolong suffering as much as possible. Their magical abilities aren’t just limited to killing. They can actually protect their friends in battle and use “Ritual of Summoning” to summon players from distant places through portals. I’ll give you a rundown of some other abilities below.

• One cool ability they possess is being able to call on minions. This also poses one of their main challenges because as a Warlock you’ll need to learn how to deal with multiple targets while controlling your minion at the same time. The Imp is the first minion you’re able to call on, and will help you inflict more damage and increase your chances of survival. Voidwalker are the second minion you’ll be able to use, which are fantastic for tanking, and can be summoned at level 10. As you level you’ll get access to more of these minions.

• As I mentioned, Warlocks can also protect with their magic. The Healthstone is something they can create in order to heal other players.

• Another thing that Warlocks can do is summon a demon mount such as the Felsteed at level 30 or the Dreadsteed at level 60.

• Lastly, they can actually drain the life from their enemies and restore their own health.

I’ll quickly mention a few disadvantages here in the WoW Warlock guide.

• One is that they can only wear cloth armor.

• Second is that they have little Melee capability.

One thing to know is that many of the spells I’ve mention require “Soul Shards”. Learning to create and use these can be a challenge.

When it comes to healing, Warlocks have pretty limited abilities. For this reason you may want to have a profession like Herbalism which will give you some additional healing skills. But they can use Soulstones to resurrect fallen friends before they die.
