runescape vampire slayer?

im making a strength pure and cb is 15 with 14 str. im following a pure guide on the internet, that says get to lvl 25 magic (which i have) , then use 30 wind strikes to kill the vampire in the quest. it dosen’t seem to be working, will it in the end?
well should i just train and kill it with str or try using wind strikes?

Make sure you’ve a hammer and garlic. I suggest you use strength to complete the quest, you’ll hit higher and harder (if you’ve already got a few attack levels).

Bring food just in case, and if you’re unsure bring a high level friend (or someone with prayer) so they can save your items if you die.
