Runescape incantations?

I tried to kill the demon in the “demon slayer” quest and succeeded in killing him with a special sword. I typed in an incantation to finish him off and nothing happened. What do I need to do, sare there special rules for incantations?

u cant type a spell cause nothings gonna happen. u have to use the spell book. and i finshed that quest already.
